'Fisherman's Haunt'
A thought for today
I was just thinking today how blessed and lucky I am to be an artist. For me, It is a special language through which I can express my creativity and feelings. I can’t imagine my life without it.
Painting helps me deal with all the complexities and harmonies of life and the world provides me with the infinite canvas.
There’s potential in everything I see and experience and they all become subjects for my art. My purpose is to observe, note and hopefully capture it’s essence and then share it.
I adore all forms of art and strive to challenge myself continually with new techniques. This is what truly makes me happy and stirs me to do what I do every day.
I have been painting now since the early eighties. I had my first solo exhibition in 1989 and have been exploring and growing and challenging myself every day since then.
I moved to Co.Leitrim in 2003 and I couldn’t ask for a more inspirational County to make my new home.
I am surrounded by wonderful friends, picturesque lakes, rolling hills and amazing landscapes with the added compliment of a vibrant arts and crafts community on my doorstep.
I really couldn’t ask for more.
